The Azores are a gem, and Out Adventures made it easy to access the best of what they have to offer. Also, the trip was nearly 100% all-inclusive which was surprisingly nice!

Our vibe is casual and comfortable – resort wear by day, and something snazzy for evening dinners. Think weather-appropriate shorts or pants and a casual button-up shirt. Formal wear is never required; you’re on vacation after all! For more specific recommendations, check the Important Information section of each trip page for suggestions on what you should pack. This information will also be sent to you prior to your departure date.

Absolutely! Small group cultural tours are incredibly popular for solo travellers. The intimate setting and shared interest in the destination make it very easy to connect with fellow travellers. We offer single supplements if you’d prefer to have your own private room throughout the trip, or we will match you with a roommate, which is also one of the best ways to make a lifelong friend.
As with all our tours and cruises, the price includes accommodations, transportation, most meals and activities, domestic flights within the itinerary, an LGBTQ+ Host and local guide, and gratuities for our drivers, guides, porters, and included meals. Inclusions are listed in detail on the individual trip pages for each tour.
We carefully curate our itineraries to showcase the highlights and hidden gems of each destination while including free time to wander, shop, visit sights not on the main itinerary, or simply relax. The amount of built-in free time varies based on each tour, and the itinerary on the individual trip pages will lay out what you can expect for structured activities vs. free time on each day. We aim for the right balance of inclusions and meals so you feel you’re getting your money’s worth, without feeling guilty if you decide to enjoy some “me-time”.
Think of our local guides as the experts on all things cultural and historic in a destination, and our hosts as the social glue that holds the group together. And in the rare cases when things don’t go according to plan, they are expert problem solvers. By having a local guide and a host on a trip, problems are almost always solved quickly and efficiently with as little impact on the group as possible due to the higher team-to-guest ratio.
