Harmony. It’s the perfect word to describe cruising aboard the RV Mekong Pandaw. Harmony with the river, with nature, and with the people and cultures we’ll interact with along the way. A boutique vessel sporting classic colonial design, the RV Mekong Pandaw blends timeless elegance with modern amenities. Her public spaces and cabins are warm and welcoming, making her the quintessential choice for the Mekong River cruise portion of our 13-day tour through Cambodia and Vietnam. Step aboard for a tour of this stay that truly slays.

Public Spaces

The epitome of old world charm, the RV Mekong’s interior wrap-around wood paneling creates an inviting and nostalgic ambiance that exudes relaxation. Sip your morning coffee on the sun deck as breathtaking views of Southeast Asia drift by, or point one of the comfy loungers in your preferred direction and kick your feet up for a zen moment. Feeling a bit shady? Duck under the canopy and unwind with a cocktail and some conversation. With a plethora of cute and cozy spots to choose from, this ship is like Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress – always in style.

Amenities

As we’re ushered into the stately dining room, aromas of local spices waft over us, a sensory appetizer that precedes our nightly theme dinners. The ship’s local master chef heads an experienced culinary team in creating mouthwatering masterpieces. With breakfasts and lunches served semi-buffet style, we’ll have the option to sample a broad selection of local fare, but the nightly seated dinners are the star attraction. We may even find ourselves seduced by the extensive wine list. Be sure to indulge in the daily freshly baked breads and rolls, or satisfy your sweet tooth with a dessert.

The ship’s bar is our friendly watering hole, where the stories flow as freely as the drinks. It’s also one of the few places on board with a TV, for those seeking a quick glimpse outside of our river cruise bubble.

Staterooms

RV Mekong Pandaw’s staterooms are like cozy cocoons designed to ensure a blissful night’s sleep. With 20 upper deck staterooms and 10 main deck staterooms finished in teak and brass and featuring central A/C with individual control, generous closet space, under-bed storage, an electric mini safe, kimonos and slippers, we’ll certainly feel right at home for the length of our cruise. Staterooms can be configured either for 2 twins or 1 double bed. The wood paneling even continues into the bathrooms.

Entertainment

On board, we’ll be treated to radiant cultural performances, enlightening educational talks, and inspiring cooking classes.

Keen to explore the vessel from bow to stern? Join a ship tour led by a crew member and visit the bridge – just leave the driving to the Captain.

Get ready to vogue, because the vibrancy of Vietnamese culture will be on full display for the dance party, a highlight evening when guests are invited to boogie down on deck with the crew.

There’s no better way to experience the sights and sounds of the Mekong River than with an LGBTQ+ group on board the RV Mekong Pandaw. Not only will we gain newfound insight into the history and traditions of Cambodian and Vietnamese culture, we’ll come away having made a whole new set of friends who shared an unforgettable journey on a Mekong River cruise that was, at its essence, pure harmony

With the cruise only being a portion of the trip, we’ll also be privy to stylish accommodations in both Siem Reap and Ho Chi Mini City (Saigon).

Shinta Mani Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia (pre-cruise)

Step inside one of Cambodia’s most Instagram-able stays, a boutique darling located in the heart of Siem Reap’s French Quarter. Designed by acclaimed architect Bill Bensley, this tranquil property exudes Khmer charm.

The pool is a shimmering oasis of serenity, and it feels extra refreshing after a full day temple hopping in Angkor Wat.

Our lavish Bayon rooms are packed to the brim with amenities and adorned with local artistry. If a nap is in order after your (likely lengthy) flight, close the blackout curtains and recharge. Otherwise, explore the property, grab a bite in the restaurant, or book a massage at the spa – this place has it all!

Mai House, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (post-cruise)

We may have outdone ourselves with our final stay. Not only are the chic interior spaces lovingly embellished with collections of artwork, literature and artifacts, the soaring ceilings and ornate chandeliers provide a certain wow-factor that makes Mai House a memorable final stay for our 13-day journey.

Our rooms are beautifully furnished private sanctuaries replete with sophistication.

Marvel at the panoramic city views from the 5th floor pool deck, where you’ll also find a fitness room, spa, sauna, and conveniently placed bar. It’s been a long journey, and sipping a libation while watching the tapestry of life unfold in the bustling city below is a wonderful way to cap off an unforgettable vacation. Ah – bliss!
